my 2010 diary

Hole in Twelve by Alessandro Esteri

For me the year never really kicks off until you start writing it - 2010. Alot has been made of how you say it 'twenty ten' or 'two thousand and twelve'. Who cares ? Im more concerned with what the decade will be called as im not a fan of the 'teenies'. I can't help think 'tellitubies' or something else childish. This decade needs a more serious name as it will mark us as a generation.

The 90's was one of pure indulgance and greed. Im gona argue that between the ages of (20)10 and (20)19 is when you explore possibilities and begin to feel comfortable with choices in life. I look at this decade the same way.

You know the year has begun when you start writing in your new diary for the first time. My first entries were models that I liked - not a great start by all accounts ! But necessary as we have a shoot coming up in February which im trying to nail down. It also has tradeshow dates etc. Word on the street has it that Filofaxes and diaries are back in vogue. Personally I love writing 'scribbles' down as it helps me branch off.

For this job I have choosen the 'Hole in Twelve' diary which for me is beautiful, unique and just the right size. I like that the paper is not lined and each page marks a day and contains a date. I bought it in 'A Shop' which was the pop-up store in the same building as ourselves over Christmas. You can buy it here if you like.

Right so, back to the 6th of January. We have just drilled through the wall into the basement next door to see if we can put an archway through to expand...

You need to think big right ? Right ???????????
